Hey, I'm Phi-Hung Le-Vu, and at Let's Get Phisical, we believe fitness should be fast, effective, and feel damn good.

My background as a fashion photographer had me working alongside models and creatives in an industry obsessed with aesthetics. Being surrounded by that world sparked something in me: a desire to look and feel incredible, not for the camera or anyone else, but purely for myself. I tried every workout imaginable, but it was high-intensity cardio, especially skipping, that completely transformed both my body and mindset.

Skipping became my secret weapon. It worked my entire body in less time than running, making it perfect for those hectic 9-to-5 days when I could barely squeeze in a workout. But I'm someone who obsesses over details, and I wanted more from my training.

I started experimenting with rope thickness, testing everything from lightweight cables to heavy-duty cords. That's when I discovered the game-changer: thicker ropes create incredible resistance. Every single rotation becomes a strength exercise, targeting muscles in ways traditional cardio never could. I spent months in trial-and-error mode, sourcing different materials and weights, tweaking and testing until I found it: the perfect balance between a rope thick enough to deliver serious muscle-building resistance, but not so heavy it kills your speed and flow.

What began as my personal fitness obsession evolved into something bigger. I realized I could create something that didn't exist: a rope designed specifically for maximum muscle engagement and definition. But as I dove deeper into the market, I noticed a massive problem that frustrated me as both a consumer and someone who cares about quality: most speed ropes wear out quickly, and without replacement options, people are forced to throw away the entire setup. What length should I cut my rope for the best performance?

Getting the right fit makes all the difference. Here’s how to size, cut, and assemble your wire rope for smooth, controlled skipping.

1. Find Your Ideal Length
Stand on the middle of the rope with one foot. Pull both handles up along your sides. They should reach just below your armpits for the right length.

2. Secure
Tighten the screws firmly using a screwdriver or by hand.

3. Test and Trim
Do a few test skips. If it feels right, mark and trim any excess rope using strong wire cutters. Leave a small tail in case you want to adjust later.

4. Final Check
Ensure all screws are tight and the rope is secure. You're ready to go.
